Minion Card

The most recent and cutest card! I seen this on Pinterest and thought it was too cute to pass up. It was definitely easier to make than I thought other than having to cut out a bunch of little pieces. =)

Some cards are so cute that I don't want to give them away and this is one them. That is one reason why I take pictures of them! So I can make them again. =)

More Cards!

Card making is a main hobby that goes on in my family. We've got a room set aside just for it with all of our paper books, buttons, ribbons, stickers and all the little odds and ins.
We recently went to Hobby Lobby, (my family's favorite store), and I had gotten a new paper book. I'm not a huge fan of the color pink but this book was too cute to pass up. It was all pink and green. Those two colors go very well together if you ask me. There was so many cute patterns in it and I could make all kinds of different cards! So I got it and have not been able to make any other colored cards! I would pick up another book and look through it but nothing would really come to me. I would end up going back to the pink one and have all the ideas come into mind! I haven't put all of them together because I'm a little stuck on one of them, so here is the two that I made with the pink book. The other ones are some that I made before. Hope you like them!
I would say that these two are the best ones I've made yet!

I love these birthday cards! Its something unique and yet really nice!

This one was a little hard. I loved the background paper but didn't know what to put with it. Having 3 different colors makes the card different form all the others I've ever made but I like it!
This one was a lot of fun to make! I like orange, and I really wanted to use that paper but I didn't know what to put with it. So I started cutting out the diamonds and placing them on it. At first it was just the purple ones but then I started cutting out different ones to add more color.
Hope you like them! Sorry for the crooked photos. I'm not the photographer in the family that's for sure! Have a blessed day!

Tennessee Road Trip

The last week of October me and my two sisters went up to North Carolina and Tennessee for the whole week! There is a couple at our church take a trip up to NC every year for the whole summer. They know the man that owns the camp grounds and he let's them keep their camper there for the whole year. Anyways, she's been wanting us to come up and stay with her for quite some time now. We were finally able to do it and another friend of ours was able to go as well!

But before we headed towards NC we had to stop for some breakfast at Dunkin Donuts!
Plus coffee! *smile

We were super excited about going!! The long 7 hour drive gave us plenty of opportunities to catch
good selfies!

When we finally got there we stayed in Mrs. Kathy's camper (which is in NC), for two days. We went to a few little consignment shops and stores, walked through town and just window shopped. When we got back to the camper we played two games of Phase 10 and Jennifer won both (pure luck).

This is a couple pictures from outside her camper. It was very nice, on the mornings when it was warm enough we could sit in the chairs she had set out, drink our coffee or hot
chocolate and enjoy the beautiful river!
We didn't do to much around there but on Wednesday we drove to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! I have always loved going there. If I had a choice to live anywhere I wanted, it would be Tennessee.
When we arrived, the first place we went was a restaurant called the Old Mill. It was super packed but totally worth the wait. There food was amazing!
After a late lunch we shopped at some of the little shops around the area and then went on to the condo. I've stayed in hotels before, and even a small chalet but nothing compared to what we were at!
This was like a mansion compared to a camper! There was so much space and it was so big! We even had a porch!
In the cabinets were glass plates, bowls and even crystal glasses! With the big refrigerator and bowls, we decided to make a snack for that night! We bought some chips a hoy cookies, cool whip and milk. We dipped the cookies in the milk and placed them in the bowls, on top of them we put a spoon full of cool whip. After a few stacks of those we placed them in the fridge and waited for them to get nice and cold. It calls for an easy and delicious dessert.
As for the rest of the week, we spent our time looking through some of the neatest little shops! We did some buying, and some window shopping! =)
What I love most about TN is the country! The mountains are so beautiful!
It was the perfect time of the year to go because the leaves had changed color. Although it was hard to catch on camera.

The photos are taken by my sister. I wasn't able to take my camera because of some complications so I just decided to steal some of my sisters pictures since she can take much better ones than me. =)

The first day we arrived in TN we went hiking on some trail. It was very pretty and had a long river beside it. Me and Bethany also did some climbing. Walking farther down the trail, it had started to get really steep on the side. Bethany really wanted to get down my the river for some pictures so me and her climbed down the steep, slippery hill and walked on the bottom while Jennifer, Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Linda were at the top just worried to death that we would break a leg!

After hiking, the rest of the week we just window shopped and walked around the area. In one area of shops we took a picture that was on Jennifer's bucket list.
They car we had, had a sunroof, so we climbed out the top and took a picture with the cars in the background. Just making memories!

Well I hope you enjoyed the pictures! I had no idea it was going to be this long but there was just so much to tell! =) Have a very blessed day!

A Good Find On Our Trip

Last week we went up to Tennessee with a couple of friends from our church, I'm already planning another post about it so that will be up soon! While we were up there we went to a store called I. R. Cheap. It was a very interesting store and had some really neat stuff. We were almost done looking when me and Bethany went by this one booth. The first thing she saw was a mandolin hanging on the wall. It was the same color that mine was when I had one but the style was different.

She looked at the price and it was $85 for the mandolin, a chord book and the case. After checking everything out we finally decided to get it.
All it needed was some major tuning and it was ready to play! I'm excited about getting back in my family band!

Have a blessed day!!

Iced Coffee

Every day when my sister wakes up she walks in the kitchen and opens the cabinet. As a smile comes across her face she grabs a small container. What is it? Coffee. Yes it is true my sister is a coffee lover. My whole family likes it but not as much as Bethany does. If you ask me how I like mine I would say 'cold.' I'm still trying to figure out hot coffee, I can never get it right.
But my sister, Jennifer, found a copycat recipe for a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. We always liked getting coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts but to pay $3 for one cup can get very expensive. So she found a recipe, tried it out and after a tweak or two it was amazing! The best iced coffee ever! My mom says that the only thing wrong with it, is that it doesn't last long enough. =) So try it out and see what you think! The recipe is below.
2 TBS brewed coffee
1-1/2 tsp sugar
2/3 milk and creamer (we like to put half a cup of milk and then add creamer up to the 2/3 mark)
after you brew the coffee pour it into a cup with the sugar in it and place in fridge for about 30 minutes. After its good and cold pour in the milk and creamer. Add ice and enjoy!!

Crescent Cheese Chicken

I love chicken! Chicken nuggets, chicken in gravy, chicken spaghetti but not chicken pot pie. I don't know what it is about it but I just don't care for it. So anyways, I found this recipe off Pinterest. My mom has me and my sisters all pick a new recipe and dessert once a month for
us to cook. Most of the time we get them off Pinterest but this month she has thrown a curve ball by saying we can't do that. We have to get it out of a cookbook. But, last month I found this recipe called Chicken Cheese Crescent Wraps. It basically describes itself in the title. All it is, is chicken and cheese wrapped up in a crescent. It's very easy to make and only takes 30 minutes to bake. Here's the recipe.

1 pack of crescent rolls 8 count
2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
Pepper

Preheat oven to 350. Make the soup and while that's cooking start putting together everything. Roll out the crescents and peal then apart. Place chicken and cheese onto them and roll them up. Put them in an 8 inch pan. You'll most likely have some chicken and cheese left over. What I do is put the chicken in empty spaces around the crescents and sprinkle the cheese ontop. Pour the soup over the rolls and sprinkle some pepper ontop. Place it uncovered in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. This goes really well with rice!

A new card

I love making cards! It has been something I've enjoyed doing for about a year now! I never really made them until I met a friend of mine. She lives a ways from me so we started to write back and forth. She made cards so it got me interested! My older sister already had a lot of paper because she liked to do a few cards or maybe a scrapbook. So I would try my best to make something and eventually, I got better.
I found one like this on Pinterest and I loved it!
Instead of the tag that says, 'hello' on it, they had, 'Thank you for being you." Which is really sweet and I might do that sometime. But not for this one. It was a little bit bigger than I planned it to be but hey, no ones perfect! I just made a plain orange envelope to go with it and its ready to go!

Girl's Day Out

Thursday, my sisters came to me and said they wanted to go to the beach on Friday. I thought that was a great idea, until they said, "To see the sunrise!" We live about an hour away from the beach. It starts to get light at around 6 in the morning. They already planned for us to get up somewhere around 4, just to go to the beach and see the sun rise which takes about, hmm, 30 seconds. I hesitated for a minute, but then decided that its not everyday I get to see the sunrise. So we decided to do it. About 3 hours later, me and my family are headed to a church that had preachers come every Thursday. Jennifer was so tired and she knew that we wouldn't be able to make it for sunrise, so we called it off. My mom, however, said that we could do something else! We never go out for breakfast and hardly ever just out to eat. So she said that we could go to Ihop, stop at a few stores we wanted to go to and then go by the beach during the day! We all agreed with no hesitation.
So after an amazing brunch we headed over to Catos, and then the beach.
It was a beautiful day! The tide was high, the water was cool and the breeze was amazing!! I couldn't have asked for a better day to go to the beach. We took a camera but it didn't do to much good. We only took 2 pictures on the beach. But that's not the reason we went out anyways.
       Have a blessed day!

New blog here!!

I have never had my own blog. I shared one with my sister but I never really posted. So the other day I was just thinking about it, and I decided to see what it would be like to have my own blog. I'm not promising a post every so often but I will try once a week. So bare with me and maybe this will work!
